Worth a visit????

Hi there i am going to Kardamena on the 27trh august for a week until the 3rd september... Wondered if its worth me and 4 other mates all aged 18 all heading off to Kos town for a night/day out?? Seems liek Kardamena has it all but still would be cool to hire out peds or catch a bus over to somehwere else on the mighty Kos island Any information about the place welcome both Kardamena and Kos :p
